Jazz Live in Europe: Tribute to Miles Davis (Juan-les-Pins France July 2011)

Remembering the 20th Death's Anniversary of Miles Davis three famous "davisians": Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock and Marcus Miller put them together with Sean Jones (trumpet) and Sean Rickman (drums) for an exciting commemoration of the music of Miles during the 51st Festival Jazz a Juan in Côte d'Azur (France) last july.



This interesting concerts are now available on web in 2 CD (bootleg) of very good quality.

Jazz Live in Europe: Dave Brubeck quartet in Juan-les-Pins (France) 1967

A rare album of the Dave Brubeck quartet with the only issue of the second concert in Juan-les-Pins on july 23, 1967. The first one was the day before and was issued as Dave Brubeck - Take Five Live (Jazz Music Yesterday (It) JMY 1001-2) today unavailable.






The program of this second set is more rich, with three takes not present in the first one.

Jazz in Europe: Sonny Rollins in Juan-les-Pins (France) 2005

On 2005 july 22 the great tenor saxophonist Sonny Rollins, at that time 75 years old, with his group was present at one of the most interesting jazz festivals on the French Cote d'Azur, the Jazz à Juan in Juan-les-Pins.
The following video shows the final set of the concert: a well known composition of Sonny Rollins Tenor Madness.
